What a Saturday morning at Kilwhiss actually looks like
Bit of an honest one this. People sometimes ask what running specialist companies looks like day to day. Mostly it looks like coffee, a laptop, and a list of stuff that didn’t get finished on Friday.
Saturday this morning. Two client sites still mid-migration. One automation that worked perfectly on Thursday and decided to break overnight for no reason at all. A phishing email from a client asking “is this real?” (it wasn’t). And an inbox I haven’t looked at since Wednesday.
The reason I tell you this isn’t to moan. It’s because most small business owners reading this will recognise their own Saturday morning in there somewhere. The to-do list that follows you home. The thing that broke for no reason. The customer who emailed at 9pm wanting to know something.
That’s the whole point of what we do at Kilwhiss. The reason the websites get automated. The reason the hosting needs to actually work. The reason cyber security matters even when you’re a one-person business. Because none of us have time to be the IT department on top of running the actual thing we set up to do.
So if you’re reading this on a Saturday morning with a coffee and a list, you’re in good company.
